Airtel Chief Commercial Officer, Ahmad Mokhles said that the company has introduce a new service short code through which subscribers can choose, activate or deactivate a value added service ‘VAS’ or unwanted SMS.

The statement said, Airtel customers will have to dial the code *902# for them to activate or deactivate a service such as daily prayer, daily quote alerts. After dialing the code, customers will select a service number and either use 1 or 2 to Activate or Deactivate the service.
The means that power and control is now in the hand of the customers and can determine when to use a service and when to deactivate it.
